1. n. 1 vetch, esp. as corn-weed or fodder. 2 (in pl.) Bibl. an injurious corn-weed (Matt. 13:24-30). Etymology: ME: orig. unkn. 2. n. 1 an allowance made for the weight of the packing or wrapping around goods. 2 the weight of a motor vehicle without its fuel or load.
