золотой (золотистый) дятел Colaptes auratus (лат.), небольшая птица, длина тела около 27 см, имеет красивую яркую окраску, спина бурая с черными пестринами и белым надхвостьем, голова черная, обведена красной полосой, нижняя сторона крыльев золотисто-желтая. Является всеядной, но не хищной птицей. Обитает на открытых равнинах Северной Америки. Тж. yellowhammer
